Refurbishment of No. 2 - 13mt Antenna Ant18&Ant19 with New L/S band 5-ports Feed
During 2022, the Antech Space team produced, on behalf of Telespazio/EUMETSAT, the new 5-ports L/S band feed to upgrade EUMETSAT’s 13m antennas (Ant18&Ant19) at the Cheia site (Romania), the Antennas will now have a wider S-band frequency band and guarantee inter-band isolation rates above 120dB. Eventually the two antenna systems became equivalent to the Ant20 antenna located at the Fucino teleport.

In 2007, the Antech Space team created the hub antenna of the ARMASAT network (7.5mt Ku band with 4-ports Feed) which acts as the star center of the network of over 4000 remote stations located throughout Italy.

Refurbishment of CosmoSKYMed Antenna in X band with New Monopulse ACUs
In 2021 the Antech Space team completed and built its new ACU with monopulse capabilities, based on realtime HW using FPGA processors. These devices have been installed on the CosmoSKYMed antennas in the Italian territory of Matera and Pratica di Mare.

In 2020 the Antech Space project team was involved by RARTEL in the ESA project of a bi-static radar; we have been entrusted with the refurbishment of the APS – Antenna Pointing Systems system of the two 32m antennas in Cheia (Romania) including: ACU, Servo S/S and the new C-band Tracking Coupler for tracking space objects and radio stars.

In 2017, the Antech Space team built a new 7.5m Ku-band antenna on behalf of Telespazio at the Lario teleport (Italy), complete with a de-icing system; which serves as the transmitting station for SKY Germany television services.

Between 2007 and 2017, the Antech Space team built, on behalf of Telespazio, No. 4 new 7mt antennas in Ku band and K band (up to 18GHz), complete with de-icing system; for all Tx/Rx television services at the SKY Italia headquarters in Milano Santa Giulia.

Refurbishment of TLR-3 Antenna in X band with New Monopulse Feed, Monopulse ACU and TILT S/S
Between 2012 and 2014, the Antech Space team carried out, on behalf of eGEOS, a profound refurbishment work of the TLR-3 antenna system at the Matera site. The antenna for eGEOS’ own services has been upgraded with a new Feed X band, with a monopulse tracking coupler, the new monopulse ACU and also all the refurbishment of the TILT system (the 3rd movement axis) of the antennas for LEO applications.

New 9mt Antenna in Ku band with 4-ports Feed
Between 2009 and 2014, the Antech Space team created, on behalf of Dish Media Network (Nepal), a new 9mt Ku-band antenna for all Tx/Rx pay-TV services of the nepalese digital broadcaster, complete with 4-port Feed and TLT system. On 25 April 2015, the antenna also withstood a very violent earthquake (almost 8 degrees of magnitude) that struck the city of Kathmandu.

Refurbishment of a 12mt AF Antenna with New Ka band monopulse Feed, Monopulse ACU and Digital Tracking Receiver
During 2022 the Antech Space team designed and built, on behalf of VTT (Finland) and ESA/ESRIN, the new 2-port feed (RHCP/LHCP) in Ka band, with monopulse tracking coupler to upgrade the 12mt antenna at the ESRIN site in Frascati (Italy). The antenna now provides new functionality up to 27 GHz; the upgrade also involved the installation of the new ACU – Antenna Control Unit and the new DTR – Digital Tracking Receiver which added monopulse capabilities to the ground station for EDRS satellites.
